What we do

The Physical and Environmental Planning department is responsible for implementing planning policy and procedures for University development to ensure that all new campus buildings and facilities are developed in a consistent and compatible manner with the Long Range Development Plan and Physical Design Framework. The department also coordinates and oversees the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review and environmental permitting activities for campus projects that includes the implementation of environmental mitigation measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
