Mission
Physical and Environmental Planning supports UC Merced’s academic vision by developing the framework for a distinctive physical environment that contributes to high-quality learning, work, and living environment.
Environmental Planning Activities include:
- Preparing planning studies and evaluations for complex land use issues to support executive campus decision making.
- Directing environmental permitting activities that include coordinating CEQA review and environmental compliance on all campus capital projects.
- Maintaining relations throughout the campus, among governmental entities, local, state and federal agencies regarding UC Merced's physical development.
